Private Lender Article Submission Instructions & Guidelines:

To Submit Articles:

  • Email a digital file of the article to wgroves@aaplonline.com
  • Please include your name and contact information in the email so that we may contact you upon review of the article
  • Please also send digital files of any images you would like published with the article


To qualify for publication in Private Lender, your article:

  • Must BE an original article written by the author named on the byline. If you work for an author as an employee or contractor and are submitting the article, please submit the article as if it was from the original author including his or her email address and name.
  • Must BE informative and share your unique expertise. Content should be relevant to the Private Lending industry and include tips, strategies, techniques, case studies, analysis, opinions and commentary. We do not accept articles that contain more than 5 lines of quoted or sourced material.
  • Must BE written using proper English. Spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization and sentence structure must be correct. While variations in what is considered “proper English” do exist, please be consistent within your article. It must also be proofed and double checked for accuracy.
  • Must deliver on the article title. The article body must support the promises/claims made in the title.
  • Must NOT have a hard sell tone. The article body should not be focused on a product pitch, blatant self-promotion or excessive inclusion of contact information.
  • Must NOT BE a copied or purchased. If you did hire a ghostwriter to write your articles, you must have an Exclusive License that only allows your name to be associated with the articles produced for you. 
  • Must NOT BE a press release, advertisement, sales letter, promotional copy, or blatant and excessive self-promotion.
  • Must NOT contain any content that is a violation of any law, be considered defamatory, libelous, or infringes on the legal rights of others.


Article Format:

  • Submit as either a Microsoft Word or Pages document.
  • The full Author name must be included on the article. This includes the author’s first and last name.
  • Do not include the Author name or Website URL in the title.
  • Titles must not include profanity.
  • Must be a minimum of 250 words and no more than 1,000 words.
  • The article body must not include links to other websites, documents, etc.


Supporting Links
You will be provided with an opportunity to include relevant links in an area separate from the article. These links must be consistent with the following guidelines:

  • Maximum of two (2) “self-serving” active or inactive links/URLs owned or controlled by the author, or in which he/she has an interest.
  • Maximum of two (2) active or inactive non self-serving links/URLs to a website that are not associated with the author.
  • The links may not include a downloadable file of any kind.
