As part of our commitment to education, AAPL is launching its Certification Program as part of the 2011 Conference. Join us on Sunday, November 6th (the day before the conference), and become a Certified Private Lender Associate, or CPLA. 
 
The CPLA Certification Program is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the principles and the federal laws and regulations surrounding private real estate lending. CPLA Certification is the first step toward achieving a professional designation with AAPL, and is a pre-requisite for achieving CCPL (Certified Commercial Private Lender), CRPL (Certified Residential Private Lender), and CPLFM (Certified Private Lender Fund Manager) professional designations.

Federal Private Lending Compliance

Course Overview: A comprehensive overview of federal laws and how they affect owner-occupied, non-owner-occupied, construction and commercial properties. The course will give a detailed overview of the Truth-in-Lending Act, HOEPA, RESPA, ECOA, Graham-Leach-Bliley Act and the Patriot Act. This is considered an essential compliance course for the Private Lender to be involved in.

CPLA Certificate Requirements
A CPLA certificate is awarded upon completion of the five required courses, each with a passing grade of 75% or above.
